What is Wrong With the Republican Party Supporters?

As I listen to the debates for President from both sides, one thing is made very clear. The Democrats sound like they are running for Senior Class President and the Republicans sound like they are running to be President of the most powerful nation on Earth.

The Democrats refuse to address questions and talk about silly issues. They talk a lot but rarely ever say anything while the Republican debate addresses issues like free trade, foreign policy concerning Iran, Iraq, Syria, China, Russia, and so on. They talk about tax reform, social security reform, border security and real issues we need to discuss. The Democrats respond to questions about whether second graders should have stories of homosexuals in love read to them by stating how they love diversity and tolerance and how they wish we could just all get along with our fellow man. They try to tell the audience what their favorite Bible verse is though the make it painstakingly clear that they have not clue what is in the Bible.

With such clear differences between the parties, many Republican voters (mostly from the "Religious Right" which I would categorize myself as) have claimed that they would not vote for Rudi Giuliani because of his stance on abortion. Rudi may not be the perfect candidate (I would say that Mike Huckabee is my ideal choice) but he is clearly the best bet to beat the Democrats, i.e., Hillary. James Dobson has said that he would rather have Hillary Clinton become President rather than vote for Giuliani which is absurd. The damage that Clinton could do as Commander in Chief is unimaginable. She would possibly appoint up to 5 Justices on the Supreme Court which would lead to decades of horrendous decisions such as Roe v. Wade. She would be in charge of our military, something I don't want to even begin to think about.

I don't believe Hillary would have a chance at winning a general election if all things were done fairly but one thing we should have learned about the Democrats and the Clintons is that we should take nothing for granted and we should not be surprised at anything they may do to win.

If it means voting for a candidate that I do not agree with 100% in order to keep Hillary from returning to the White House, I would have no problem voting for Rudi Giuliani. He may not be perfect, but he is, at this point, the best chance the Republicans have at beating Clinton. If he were smart, he would pick someone like Huckabee as his running mate. We will have to wait and see.
